As Drinks Editor at Time Out London, she reports on the capital's latest launches as well as its many gloried watering holes. Through her work at Time Out, Laura also helps throw some of London's best boozy parties, from Hotboozapalooza (London's first hot cocktail festival) to the Time Out London Bar Awards.
Her first book, '111 London Pubs & Bars That You Shouldn't Miss' was published by Emons in 2017.

Background
Laura Richards was born near Liverpool and grew up in the countryside in Northamptonshire (near Peterborough), in the United Kingdom. She studied Spanish at the University of Bristol and in Zaragoza, Spain before moving to London to train as a journalist in 2010.
She began her career as a digital producer for a pregnancy and parenting publication, before a sharp change of pace, documenting the bar, club and restaurant scene in London for city guide website View London.
This led her to join the team at Time Out in 2014, taking on the brand-new role of Drinks Editor in 2017. In the same year, her first book was published, a guide to drinking in the capital as part of the '111 Places' guidebook series.
Laura works across digital, print and video, and is as well versed in web analytics as she is in wine and spirits (for which she has a Level 2 WSET qualification).
When not propping up the bar, Laura enjoys reliving her experiences as a student in Spain by searching for the best tapas or brushing up on her (slightly rusty) spoken Spanish.
